A Corpus Repository is a container for Corpora. A Corpus Repository defines the structure of the metadata and of the annotations; all the corpora stored in the repository follow the same structure for their metadata and annotations.

A Corpus Repository consists for a database for metadata and annotations and a data store for media files. Praaline supports the SQLite and the MySQL database systems for storing metadata and annotations. An SQLite database is the appropriate choice when you are working with data on your Media files can be stored on a local disk (file system) or over the network.
